Message
According to "Genealogy of the Benedicts in America, Vol. I", page 182, Cornelia Benedict married, May 28, 1836, Isaac Coles, of Rockton, Ill. [Coles may be misspelled, probably Cole!]
My ancestor, Robert J. Cross of Roscoe, Ill., married her older sister, Susanna Sept. 21, 1836.
At the time of their marriages, I believe the sisters lived with their parents in NY state.
I would like to learn how these couples became acquainted.
Please let me know if you have any clues to this. Click on this envelope icon to email me.
