View Goff newspaper items Stephen Goff was born 11 March 1793 in Rehoboth, Bristol Co., Mass. seventh child of Simeon Goff1 and Chloe Peck, he married Persis Bates 8 October 1818 in Savoy, Berkshire, Mass. She was born about April 1799 in Mass,2,3 and died 5 April 1879 in Burlington, Racine Co., WI.

The 1820 census for the town of Savoy, Berkshire, Co. shows; Stephen Goff, and a male under 12, a male over 45, and a female 26-45.

Stephen died 18 October 1873 at Elba, Dodge Co., WI.4

    Children:
  1. ) William Peck Goff, born 19 February 1819 in Savoy. He married Lovisa Whitman 29 May 1844. He died 20 October 1894 in Winchester, Kansas.
  2. Lorena Goff, born 16 September 1820, Savoy, Berkshire Co., MA. Married 31 May 1846, Yorkville, Racine Co, WI, to David L Gilmore.5
  3. Russell Goff, born 31 July 1822, Savoy.
  4. Julia Goff, born about 1824, living in Burlington with brother Wm., 1880 Census
  5. Stephen D. Goff, born 12 May 1825, Savoy.
  6. Spencer S. Goff, born 11 November 1827, Savoy.
  7. Ezra Whiting Goff, born July 1833, MA.
  8. Harriet Goff, born about 1836, MA.
  9. Julia A. Goff, born about 1838, MA.
