died 19 August 1822.
- Bernard CONOLLY, born on 29 September 1790 and died
on 29 July 1791.
"My ancestor was Bernard Conolly, a Merchant of
Clones, Co. Monaghan, Ireland. I've visited his
gravesite in St. Tighernach's graveyard in
Clones.He was buried there in 1794 along with some of
his children and other family members.
"Margaret Hanna's mother was Jane Wallace,
a descendant of the famous Scottish hero William
Wallace's brother Malcom Wallace. Hence the great
pride in the aristocratic Hannas of Newry."
"My ggrandfather William J. Conolly of Goulburn
had one sister, Mary Conolly. She married Obadiah
Willans, came to live in Queanbeyan, New South Wales.
They had 8 children, one of whom, Harriett Eliza, born
Dublin 1851, married John James Woodward. Their
grandson became a Chief Justice of the High Court of
Australia and Governor of New South Wales.
